How Are Artificial Hair Extensions Made
Artificial hair extensions add length and/or fullness to human hair. Hair extensions are usually clipped on by other hair by incorporating additional human or synthetic hair. Compared with human hair, Artificial hair extensions cannot be dyed, permed, and flat ironed. Artificial hair extensions are made of fine plastic fibers which are composed of low-grade acrylic. The plastic is heated and then extruded and then strung into strands to make individual hair fibers. These fibers are then laced or tied into extensions and hairpieces.
