Most people get confused about the two types of hair extensions — Remy Hair and Virgin Hair. Actually, they have many differences which affect the quality and value of the hair.
What is Virgin hair?
First of all, it has a lot of standards to become a virgin hair and that makes virgin hair the most precious hair among all the hair extensions. Any chemical process like perm, dying, chemically straightening and bleaching must not be used while making the virgin hair. Meanwhile, a set of virgin hair must come from a single donor and all follow the same direction with an intact cuticle which means it is completely natural, healthy and beautiful. For example, our SIS Virgin Hair is made from 100% natural virgin human hair without any chemical treatment even natural damage. Our strict standards to choose the original hair have attached a high value to our products.
What is Remy hair?
Remy hair, however, is processed with chemical dying and rearranged to make it run in the same direction and more smooth. But it still comes from virgin human hair with a high quality. With a more affordable price, remy hair is becoming the new trend of fashion.
What is Non-remy hair?
Another kind of hair extension, which is called non-remy hair, has undergone chemical process as well and the mixture of hair tips and ends. While producing non-remy hair, it needs to be clipped to make less friction between hair strands and then it will look tangle free, smooth with more natural waves. It is less expensive but not as good quality as virgin or remy hair.
