Hair extensions with strand by strand technique is what most hair stylists will recommend to you when you go to hair salons. Here are some basic knowledge of strand by strand technique.
Strand by strand technique is where hair extensions with a glue bond are attached to small pieces of your hair using warm or cold application techniques.
Your hair stylist can do one of three things to add individual hair extension strands, one at a time.
- Fuse, bond or glue the individual hair extensions to your hair, strand by strand.
- Use shrink tubing on your hair.
- Use metal cylinders and micro links to attach the hair extensions to your hair.
A chemical is used as a bonding material in the first method of individual hair extension attachment. This method is similar to extending their length by gluing hair extensions to the ends of your own hair. Depending upon the type of bond used, fusion may entail the application of heat. To create your own pre-tipped hair, you can try pre-bonded hair extensions, or bulk hair and glue.
Apply special tubing on the tips of the hair extensions if you use the second method of hair extension application. Then, carefully attach each strand of hair extension to your hair. Bond the extension to your own hair because heat will be applied to the tubing to make them shrink.
In the third method of hair extension application, to make hair extensions adhere to your own hair, you should use links to pinch them. Link each strand of your hair extensions to each strand of your own hair. Note that this method produces the hardiest type of individual-strand extensions.
