Here are three ways to style your hair extensions without heat.
1. Flexi rods
Detangle extensions with a wide tooth comb, and then section hair.
For each section of hair, rub a small amount of setting lotion thru it and the start to twist the hair around the flexi rod.
Be sure to start at the end when twisting the hair around the rod, and make sure the end is secure around the rod to achieve a curl from root to tip.
After that, loosely wrap with a silk scarf or satin bonnet and let it set overnight for best results you should.
In the morning, simply unwrap hair and finger comb to achieve desired style.
2. Bantu Knots
Use a wide tooth comb to remove all tangles.
Section hair for tight spiral curls use small section, and for looser curls use larger sections.
Set each section with water and a leave-in conditioner.
Twist the hair all the way down and begin the wrap the hair around itself as if you’re putting it in a bun.
Secure the ends under the bottom of the knot.
Wrap the hair overnight in a silk scarf or satin bonnet.
Unwrap the knots and either finger comb or paddle brush for your desired style.
3. Braiding for Soft Waves
Lightly dampen hair and comb thru with a wide tooth comb.
Section hair into 2-4 parts depending on how defined you would like the waves. 2 braids will produce looser beach looking waves, while 4 braids will produce tighter that resemble an S shape.
Simply braid each section to the end, and secure ends with a small rubber band.
Let the braids sit for at least 2-3 hours.
When you’re ready to take the braids out simply finger comb thru for a natural, yet fun beach wavy look.
